Remembrance day

Today we learnt about remembrance day and why it is so important. We all made poppies from different materials and created our own wreath. They look amazing, well done Doves! DSC04606

Once upon a time

Our new topic this term is ‘Once upon a time’ we will be using traditional tales within all areas of our learning. We celebrated our new topic by going on a hunt for some of the characters in these traditional tales and lots of other activities. We had a lot of fun!

Last week we used our knowledge of algorithms and instructions to programme and direct our Beetbots! We used our directional language such as forward, backwards, left, right, up and down. We also had a lot of fun using our super hero grids to save a range of people/animals. Well done Doves!

Sponsored Bicycle ride

On the 23rd October there is a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for a brand new bike shelter. Children need to be confident riding their bike this does include children that use stabilisers. We ask that you have your own bike and helmet to bring with you. We are super excited as the class that raises the most money wins a prize, let’s work together and win!

There has been a letter sent through parent mail with additional details or feel free to find me before/after school. It will be a lot of fun and is for a fantastic cause, that will benefit all children. bike ride

Open afternoon

Thank you to all the parents/carers who came to Doves’s open afternoon last week. It was so lovely to see so many parents here. If you were not able to make it, I have attached the Power Point below. I look forward to updating our blog more often!

Miss Meikle.
